Justin Lloyd takes 43 to victory

Justin Lloyd takes familiar #43 to victory lane.

Concord, N.C. - April 25th, 2008

The yellow flag just didn’t want to go away in the first part of the Semi-Pro feature. When it finally did Justin Lloyd took advantage and the lead with 11 laps to go to seal the victory.

Lloyd was fast early, but just couldn’t find away around Michael Brown until a longer run of green flag racing.  

“Yeah that was a caution-filled race there in the first half,” said Lloyd.  “Luckily we were able to get the last half in under green.

“We had a fun time there racing Michael Brown.  He has been struggling with his car recently and he finally picked it up and he was tough tonight.”    

In victory Lane, Lloyd celebrated his win as he exited his #43 Legends car.  NASCAR fans might think the number reflects the young driver being a fan of Richard Petty or the Petty Enterprises team, but it is due to his appreciation of the current driver of the Nextel Cup #43 car.

“I am a fan of Bobby Labonte,” said Lloyd.  “That’s why I use the #43.  He has always been my driver.”
