Justin Lloyd Goes to victory lane wtih help from veteran racer

Justin Lloyd - Wins another race with help from "Tiger" Tom Pistone

Concord, N.C. - May 7th, 2008  

Tiger Tom Pistone is a well-known name in the racing world.  From NASCAR to the local short track ranks, Pistone has been a fixture through it all.

Now he is helping Justin Lloyd win races in the Semi-Pro Legends division, including Sunday at Concord Motorsports Park .

“We bought our Legends car from him (Pistone),” said Lloyd.  “Ever since we met him he has been great to us.  We would come out here and rent the track to practice.  He would come out here helping us out, whether it be with my dad working on the car or with me and my line on the track.  Luckily this year it has been paying off.”

Most of the drivers Pistone helps out at the track are too young to remember when he was a racer in the NASCAR ranks.  Because of this, Pistone gives them all something to view from his past.

“I hand them postcards,” said Pistone.  “I had some postcards made up so I can give some to them so they know who I am.”
