Concord,
NC - May 18th, 2007
Justin Lloyd scored his second
runner-up finish in INEX Legends Cars Semi-Pro competition at
Concord Motorsports Park Friday evening.
“The car was a little loose all
evening,” said the teen racer. “I was able to adjust to
it. I avoided a few spins in front of me and brought it home
in one piece,” he added.
After winning the season opener on
March 17, Lloyd has raced only four times at Concord’s
quarter-mile oval, with a pair of seconds and one sixth-place
as the lowest finishing position.
When not at Concord’s bullring,
Lloyd races a second family entry: his Super Truck in races at
Caraway, Hickory and other short ovals. Lloyd’s luck has
been better in the Legends car than in his A&J Motorsports
truck, but he still has top ten finishes to his credit in
2007.
The next race slated for Lloyd is
Thursday night at Lowe’s Motor Speedway, in association with
Pole Night activities for the Coca Cola 600. “I hope we go
in there and come out with a strong finish that will have them
follow me,” he said. “Hopefully some day they’ll call me
to come race with them.” Following the pole night races, he
will race at Elkin, N.C.’s Friendship Motor Speedway on May
25.
